Graduates of our nail technology program will be proficient in the full spectrum of artificial nail enhancements.

The Nail Technology program focuses an equal amount on both full sets and monthly fills. Students will be instructed in several different techniques, including UV&LED gels and odourless powder-liquid acrylic systems. This will enable the student to provide options when dealing with even the most demanding spa and salon clientele. Our comprehensive training program allows students to concentrate on the skills that are essential to immediate success upon graduation.

  • Proper sanitation and disinfection of implements
  • Sculpting nails
  • Application of tips
  • Overlays
  • Acrylic
  • Professionalism
  • Marketing your skills
  • Maintaining clientele

The course takes place over 5 days spread across 4 weeks. Theory takes place on the first day, with the following four utilizing practical application. The sixth day includes the written and practical exam. The first two days, typically a Monday and Tuesday, are separated from the next two days of class by 12 days for the students to practice and hone their skills. Likewise, the final day of class (and the exam) are typically 12 days after the 3rd and 4th class days.

Nail Technology Course Outline:
Class Time: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm (30 min lunch break)
Day 1 – Theory all day
Day 2 – Theory in am – Model at 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm (Tips w/ Overlay, 1 hand)
Day 3 – Theory in am – Model at 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm (Fill on Day 2 model)
(Same model should be used for days 2 & 3)
Day 4 – Theory in am – Model at 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm (Sculpting, gel & acrylic)
Day 5 – Theory in am – Model at 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm (Fill on sculpted set)
(Same model should be used for days 4 & 5)
Day 6 – Exam Day – Written Exam at 9:00 am – Practical Model at 12:30 pm (Full set)
